SMARTA-NET est une initiative de la Commission européenne (DG MOVE) qui œuvre à la promotion de connexions de mobilité durables et résilientes entre les zones rurales, au sein des zones éloignées, et entre les zones rurales éloignées et les zones urbaines, en tenant compte de la nécessité de soutenir l’écotourisme.Le réseau du projet rassemble des municipalités, des autorités locales et régionales, et des organisations qui sont impliquées dans la planification ou la mise en œuvre de la mobilité rurale.
