Conference on women and cooperatives: the participation of women in agri-food cooperatives

The event is organised by the PAC Network, which belongs to the General Subdirectorate of Agricultural Policy Planning and the General Subdirectorate of Rural Development, both of which belong to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA).Objective of the dayThe general objective of the event is to raise awareness of the active role of women in the rural world through cooperatives. Specific objectives include:To understand the evolution of women’s participation in agri-food cooperatives and their current representation in the sector.Make visible the experiences of active women members in cooperatives.Promote cooperativism and women’s leadership in the cooperative field.Disseminate business initiatives and projects to improve the position of women within cooperatives.Learn about existing resources to promote the active participation of women in cooperatives: entities, conferences, educational materials, etc.Target audienceThe event is aimed at those who work in the agri-food cooperative sector and/or work to promote equal opportunities in rural areas.
