Placement of a SMART Lace collar on livestock in large operations, seeking improved quality of life for livestock, ensuring animal well-being, and improving operational profitability, all under a framework of environmental sustainability.

The project’s expected results are:

• Knowledge of animal habits
• Facilitating localisation of livestock for handling,
• Guaranteeing grazing areas for flocks, on occasions when clearing firewalls or forests is hired or subsidised,
• Assessing pasture quality based on the livestock’s preferences,
• By include sensors in the device, this is associated with animal well-being
• Increasing the livestock operator’s quality of life
• Early reaction to predator attacks with autonomous devices.
