The BTEM Awards recognize innovation in the food sector in the Basque Country. They are promoted by the AZTI technology center and the Basque Food Cluster to highlight companies that develop new products, process improvements, or innovative market strategies within the food value chain.
The awards seek to foster a culture of innovation, improve the competitiveness of the sector, and raise awareness of good business practices. Food companies based in the Basque Country are eligible to participate, and awards are given in three categories:
• Technological innovation (product)

• Market innovation.
The current call for entries is open until April 2026, and the winners will be announced during the Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech event.
