Are you an entrepreneur and would like to gain real experience in a company in the agricultural and food sector in the Basque Country? Are you a company willing to support emerging talent and act as a mentor? This programme is for you!

The Basque Government, through the HAZI Foundation, is launching the Programme of Practical Training Stays in agri-food companies, aimed at entrepreneurs interested in developing their experience in the sector by providing a real learning and training environment.

The practical training placements are aimed at people who participate in entrepreneurship support programmes such as GAZTENEK, ONEKIN-GEROA or other incubation programmes linked to the agri-food value chain. Young farmers with a main title (ATP) can also take part in the programme.

How does it work?
– For entrepreneurs: You will join a company for a period of paid practical training, improving your qualifications and gaining experience in the sector.
– For companies: You will host an entrepreneur, offering training and mentoring in their professional development. As a company, you will invoice HAZI for the training service, thus covering the mentoring role within the programme. Companies located in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country that meet the established requirements, such as being officially registered, demonstrating economic viability and being up to date with their legal and fiscal obligations, are eligible to participate.

Each company may receive up to 7,000 € to cover the costs of hiring the entrepreneur, including salary, social security contributions and other expenses. The contract will have a maximum duration of 89 days, guaranteeing in all cases a minimum remuneration in line with the minimum interprofessional wage in full working days.
