On Thursday, March 9th of 2023, the Conference “Transfer of food innovation in the Basque Country” organized by the Basque Government took place.
The aim of the conference was to bring together the different agents of the Basque food ecosystem and transfer practical cases of innovation projects with market impact in the Basque food value chain.
About a hundred people representing the Basque food ecosystem took part in the event.
The conference, inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Policies of the Basque Country, began with the presentation “Call it innovation when it is a success. 7 keys to success” by marketing expert Juan Viñas Orta.
This was followed by the presentation of 6 real cases of innovation projects carried out in the Basque Country and supported by the Vice-Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Policies:
Rikardo Bueno (director of BRTA) and Iñigo Martínez de Marañón (AZTI, representing BRTA) presented the White Paper Food of Euskadi.
The day concluded with the presentation of the Sustainable Food Strategy RIS3 of Euskadi, by Raul Perez Iratxeta, director of Quality and Agri-Food Industries of the Basque Government.
