Objetive

Industrial aid. Public support in the form of non-refundable subsidies to support current expenses related to the promotion to foreign markets of companies with a foreign turnover of more than 50% of the total and to encourage diversification in markets with a turnover of less than 25% of the total.

Targeting

Basque SMEs. Startups will have differentiated treatment in eligible expenses and assessment of their internationalization projects.

Non-repayable aid to improve the competitive position in markets where there is little presence, aimed at SMEs and Startups with more than 50% of exports
The SAKONDU program, endowed with €1,425,000, is intended to help highly internationalized Basque companies to penetrate markets where they have little or no presence (turnover of less than 25% of total exports in 2023). Its ultimate goal is to promote the improvement of the competitiveness of companies, through the deepening of their international activity, and from a more inclusive and sustainable perspective, integrating sustainability in the business model, as well as in its internationalization strategy.

The SAKONDU line of aid comes to alleviate the financing of strategic and operational consulting costs, in addition to the costs of promotion and organizational adaptation of companies wishing to access new foreign markets.

SMEs and Startups may make a single application, with a maximum of two countries, and grants may reach up to 50% of the amount of the approved expenditure, with a maximum of 45,000 euros per company. The application deadline is July 15 or when the available funds are exhausted.

Sakondu helps you to:
Elaborate an internationalization strategy with the advice of external specialists.
Pay management costs and fees for the registration of patents and trademarks in the country of destination.
Meet the costs of approvals required in the country of destination, as well as certifications before large customers abroad.
Participate in international fairs as exhibitor.
Participate in congresses, specialized forums and international fairs as a visitor.
Prospecting trips to analyze markets or contact potential clients.
Reverse missions, invitations to potential client companies.
Prepare catalogs or posters, develop web pages and adapt them to the international market.
Contract advertising spaces in sectorial or digital media focused on product/service launching.
Product presentations and temporary exhibitions in corners of commercial spaces in the country of destination.
Hiring public relations or communication agencies for the international launch.
Develop new promotional formats to improve access to foreign markets virtually.
To finance the design of packaging and labels, as well as the shipment of promotional samples.
Hiring external consultants to prepare sustainability reports that analyze the impact of the company in the destination country.

Expenses associated with foreign commercial and/or productive establishments (including feasibility studies, business plans, audits and other rental and supply expenses).
Expenses associated with the selection process of people destined to work in foreign operations.
Operational or strategic consulting actions that are necessary to enter the markets.

Grant type

Resolution by competitive concurrence and distribution of the available budget based on the evaluation of the project according to weighted criteria. In case of extinction of funds, pro rata will be applied.
