Below we offer you a variety of support tools for your project. They have been divided into different categories and areas of action to make them easier to access and use.

You will use your certificate as identification in the electronic office.

Signing documents electronically, simple electronic signature

To sign a document electronically, follow these steps:

  • Click on the «Sign documents» button at the end of this section. This will bring up a screen on which you can choose the file you want to sign.
  • Once you have selected the file, click on the «Generate Signature» button.
  • A screen will appear on which you must select one of the two available signature generators: Digital Certificates or BakQ.
  • If you select Digital Certificates, your browser will immediately ask you for confirmation in order to bring up the idazki-desktop-protocol.exe application. .
    • To be able to generate the signature, you must have the Idazki Desktop Protocol application installed on your device. You can download it from the website
    • Your device must meet certain technical requirements for the signature application to function properly.
    • Next, select the digital certificate with which you wish to sign.
  • If you select BakQ, you will be asked for your BakQ username and password. You must then enter either three BakQ coordinates from your set of coordinates, or a code sent by SMS to your mobile phone. For further information on BakQ, please read the section «Advanced electronic signature (BakQ)».
  • Lastly, if the process of generating the simple signature has been successfully completed, a link will appear from which you can download the electronically signed document.

LANDAEKINGUNESAREA is the database that collects information on publicly owned spaces that can host economic activity in the rural areas of the Basque Country.

This database includes: coworking spaces, premises, offices, workshops, warehouses, catering premises, etc., all of them owned by local public entities such as city councils, administrative boards and associations of municipalities.

Online service to facilitate the search for industrial properties in Alava, including plots as well as industrial warehouses and offices available for the implementation of business activity.

Developed by the industrial land management associations of the Basque Government (SPRILUR), Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council (GASTEIZKO INDUSTRIA LURRA – GILSA), Alava Provincial Council (ALAVA DEVELOPMENT AGENCY – AAD), and the Alava Technology Park (PTA).

Service that provides companies with access to urbanized industrial land, industrial buildings and offices for the optimal development of their economic activities in the Basque Country.

Agricultural land banks offered by the Provincial Councils of

Geo Euskadi is a simple and efficient tool for consulting geographic information on the official Basque Government maps and orthophotos. The viewer comes with tools for measuring distances, calculating costs, drawing polygons, etc.

- GIS statistical dissemination. Basque Autonomous Community

This is a service offered by the Basque statistics office, Eustat, where information can be found on the population, housing and establishments by economic activity, containing a wide selection of detailed territorial information and with the particularity that it is the user who decides what geographic area they want to look at.

- Access to cadastral data and consultation of graphic information and physical data on rustic and urban buildings.

Agricultural and forestry sector

This section contains statistical information referring to the structural and economic data of the agricultural and forestry sectors. Presented among other variables is evolution of the macroeconomic magnitudes; evolution of the prices paid to farmers; timber extraction; reafforestation; agricultural surfaces, productions and productivity; number of livestock farms and productions, etc.

By using this calculator you can, under current regulations:
- Obtain the theoretical gross margin based on the crops and livestock detailed.
- Calculate the theoretical net operating margin.
- Estimate theoretical labour needs.

In this section you’ll find real and updated information on the economic income and functioning of the different kinds of farms existing in the Basque Country.

Food industry

The general objectives of food safety legislation are set with the aim of achieving a high level of protection of human life and health, protecting the interests of consumers and including fair practices in the food trade. All this, taking into account the protection of animal health and welfare, phytosanitary aspects and the environment.

Food labeling is regulated by Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers. It affects all food sectors and all its requirements must be compulsorily complied with, except for exceptions cited in the regulation itself.

A novel food is a food that was not consumed in significant quantities in the EU before May 1997. It may consist of an innovative food that has just been developed or a food produced with new technologies and production processes, as well as a food that is traditionally eaten outside the EU.

This Register is for food and agricultural industries with establishments in the Basque Autonomous Community dedicated to at least one of the activities listed in Annex I of Decree 422/2013, of 7th October, regulating the statement of compliance of food and agricultural industries whose products are not exclusively directed at the end consumer or towards their actual locality. This decree also regulates the organisation and functioning of the Register of Food and Agricultural Industries in the Basque Autonomous Community.

The food and agricultural industries can take up their activity once they have stated, under their responsibility, that they meet the requirements established in the regulations governing the exercising of said activity. The food and agricultural industries can also alter the data filed with the Register once they have made the above statement.

The Directory of agri-food industries is obtained annually within the statistical operation Directory of Economic Activities.

The agri-food industry comprises establishments with an economic activity falling within one of the CNAE-2009 categories, corresponding to the divisions: 10 Food industry; 11 Beverage production and 12 Tobacco industry.

In this section, results are given broken down by the following agri-food industry sub-sectors: meat industries, fish preserves, dairy industries, bread and flour confectionery, other food and beverage industries.

This section contains statistical information referring to the economic variables of the food industry. Thanks to this annual information, an analysis can be made of the sector profitability and its evolution. It specifically presents the macroeconomic magnitudes and analytical coefficients of the BAC Agri-food sector, in addition to the Profit and Loss Account for the BAC Agri-food sector.

Fisheries sector

This section contains statistical information referring to the structural and economic data of the fisheries sector. Among other variables, it offers several structural indicators and ratios for the fleet, evolution (in quantity and value) of the main species auctioned at the fish market and diverse economic results of the fishing fleet.

This section contains statistical information referring to the structural data of the Basque fisheries sector. Among other variables, it presents distribution of the fisheries fleet by sub-sectors, the legal status of the shipowner, GRT, employees, etc.

It specifically presents the macroeconomic magnitudes and the profit and loss account of the fisheries sector.

Wood Industry

The Directory of agri-food industries is obtained annually within the statistical operation Directory of Economic Activities. Said Directory includes the Wood Processing Sector.

This section contains statistical information referring to the economic variables of the wood processing sector. Thanks to this annual information, an analysis can be made of the sector profitability and its evolution. Specifically presented are the macroeconomic magnitudes and analytical coefficients of the BAC wood processing sector, in addition to its profit and loss account.

The Forestry Map of the Basque Country provides maps on the distribution of the different forest masses and enables quantification of their extension by administrative division, water basin, property type or spaces included in the Natura 2000 Network.

Analysis of the situation and evolution of land use and forestry species in the year 2020

The PEFC Forestry Certification is managed in the Basque Country through the not-for-profit association PEFC Euskadi, represented by forestry owners, the wood industry and other collectives related to the sector (universities, municipal councils, professional associations, etc.).
