Purpose
Specialised technological centre of excellence that meets RVCTI and CIT register indicators.
It conducts strategic, applied research to generate new knowledge to contribute comprehensive and innovative solutions to clients, the foundation for boosting new innovative businesses.

Recognitions
- In 2011: Golden Q, Basque Award for Quality Management.
- In 2015: Golden A, Basque Award for Advanced Management.
It is established as one of the 10 best institutes in the world by the scientific production Quality Index. It also participates or even leads some of the most important scientific committees in Europe.
It carries out its activity in its three headquarters in the Basque Country, in Sukarrieta, Derio (Bizkaia) and Pasaia (Gipuzkoa). It has facilities with more than 10,000 m2 and has specialized laboratories, a pilot plant, state-of-the-art equipment and technologies and oceanographic vessels.
